A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a mistake. The drawback of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of spam emails, but this issue can be fixed using anti-spam protection software. It is also important to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound emails to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox without any effort in case you have a cloud website hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet surprisingly simple to work with, and it will allow you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and next to each one of them you’ll see a small "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have another one with this option enabled or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated without effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you will see a tiny logo handily situated right next to each of them. With only a single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature using the menu that will pop up. In case any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
